The film “STUCK” — www.stuckdocumentary.com — details the terrible conditions in third-world orphanages and highlights the challenges, but also steadfast love and dedication of three families as they wind their way through the adoption process.
A screening of the film will be at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, July 27, at St. Anthony’s Social Hall, 316 N. Sherwood Ave., Clarksville.
“STUCK” won the Heartland Film Festival and Minneapolis Film Festive Audience Choice award, and has been screened in 60 cities across the U.S., but it has not been premiered in the Louisville area.
One of the families featured in the documentary film is Lori Green LeRoy and her husband. Lori is a 1991 graduate of Providence High School and a Jeffersonville native who now lives in Indianapolis. The couple fought for more than three years to bring their son home from Vietnam.
The event is a fundraiser to build an education center for street children in Ca Mau, the Vietnamese province where the LeRoy’s son was born.
