Jeffersonville woman killed in car accident

Woman was passenger in two-car collision Saturday


A Jeffersonville woman was one of two people killed in a two-vehicle accident in Oldham County on Saturday. 

The accident took place Saturday afternoon at about 4:30 p.m. on Ky. 53 at Old Sligo Road in Oldham County, Ky., and involved a Ford passenger car and a full-size Dodge pickup truck, according to an Oldham County Police press release. 

The two people killed in the accident were Ben Clifford, 18, LaGrange, Ky., and Haley O’Kelley, 19, Jeffersonville. Both were passengers in the Ford. The driver of the Ford, Brianna Zambrzycki, 20, LaGrange, was transported to University of Louisville Hospital with serious injuries, according to the press release. 

The driver of the Dodge and its four passengers were all transported to Norton Brownsboro Hospital, but none appeared to have any serious injuries, according to the release. 

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
