Clark Arms senior meals site moving to senior center

Meals will be served at 11 a.m. on weekdays

JEFFERSONVILLE — The Clark Arms Senior Nutrition Site is relocating to the Ken Ellis Senior Center, according to a press release from LifeSpan Resources Inc.

Hot lunches will be provided to seniors at 11 a.m. on weekdays at the center beginning on Monday, Dec. 3. Donations of $2 per meal are accepted.

The Ken Ellis Senior Center, 1425 Pennsylvania Ave. in Jeffersonville, is managed by the Jeffersonville Parks and Recreation Department. The center also hosts programs for seniors including exercise, dancing, arts and crafts classes, bingo, cards, bunco and senior outings.

“We are very excited about providing nutrition services in this area and look forward to partnering with Jeffersonville Parks to serve area residents with fun activities appropriate for seniors,” said Lucy Koesters, nutrition/senior centers director for LifeSpan Resources, in the release.

LifeSpan Resources, Inc. provides a comprehensive network of services to persons age 60 and older in Clark, Floyd, Harrison and Scott counties, according to the release. LifeSpan’s Senior Nutrition/Meals on Wheels Program is administered through 12 nutrition centers and via 25 Meals on Wheels routes.
