Flight of the Monarchs

Monarch butterflies released in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE — The Terrace Garden Club in Clarksville held its inaugural monarch butterfly release Wednesday. Monarch butterfly numbers are at a record low, largely due to habitat loss and pesticides, according to club officials. The club talked on the importance of planting milkweed and butterfly weed to cater to the monarch's migration from Mexico to Canada. See related photos
