Sam's restaurant torn down after December fire

NEW ALBANY — Demolition crews work tore down what remains of Sam's Food and Spirits on Charlestown Road on Thursday. After the restaurant burned down on Dec. 9, 2013, owner Sam Anderson said he's still unsure whether he'll rebuild on the site or not. Anderson has expanded service at Sam’s at The Montrose, 318 W. Lewis & Clark Pkwy., Clarksville, which has been previously used only for special events and catering. Beginning March 14, Sam’s at The Montrose, which will include the exact same menu as the Highlander Point Sam’s, will be open every Friday during Lent from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. And sometime in April, Anderson hopes to open the facility from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Friday.
