Construction signs to go up Monday in Greenville

GREENVILLE — Construction signs will go up Monday for an intersection-improvement project scheduled to begin in August on U.S. 150 at Cross Street/Georgetown-Greenville Road.

The Indiana Department of Transportation urges motorists to drive with caution through Greenville next week as workers place signs, set stakes and clear right-of-way.

Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc., the state’s contractor for this $728,670 Major Moves project, is charged with widening U.S. 150 to accommodate left turn lanes, improving turning radii at corners and installing a traffic signal to replace the existing four-way flasher, according to a press release.

Meanwhile, utilities will be on site relocating their services. The contract completion date is Nov. 16.
