NEWS AND TRIBUNE BRIEFS — For April 30

Rep. Todd Young, R.-Ind., announced that the 9th District congressional offices are accepting applications for the 9th District’s Congressional Leadership Program.

The program, which was developed and launched by Young’s staff last year, introduces college and graduate students to their region and develops their leadership skills so they can effectively serve their community. Eleven students participated in the program last year.

Applicants should be residents of, or attending college or graduate school in, the 9th  District. CLP class size is limited, so the application process is competitive. Priority consideration will be given to those who apply by Wednesday, May 1. Applicants must attend at least four out of five sessions to successfully complete the program.

Potential applicants who have questions should contact the Jeffersonville Office at 812-288-3999. The application and a sample calendar of activities can be found at http://toddyoung.house.gov/congressional-leadership-program/
