Ledbetter book signing Tuesday

JEFFERSONVILLE —

The Jeffersonville Township Public Library is pleased to host Chuck E. Ledbetter Sr., 6 to 7:30 p.m.,  on Tuesday, April 23, for a book presentation and signing. Ledbetter is the author of the book “Charlestown High School’s Pirates of the Hardwood,” which chronicles the story of Charlestown High School boys’ basketball.

Ledbetter’s professional career spans 40 years in radio and television. A native of New Albany, he moved to Charlestown in the summer of 1955.  In the spring of 1967, Ledbetter became an on-air personality at WXVW radio in Jeffersonville using the on-air name of “Chuck Edwards.”  Ledbetter, who spent the last two years researching and writing his book, is no stranger to basketball, having played for Coach John Wood at CHS in the late 1950s.

Copies of his book will be available for purchase.
