NEW ALBANY — Volunteers are needed to help with the rescheduled fall beautification of New Albany on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Rain postponed the event last Saturday. Keep New Albany Clean and Green, in partnership with Develop New Albany, and the Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County, is sponsoring a city clean-up and planting event from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Volunteers are needed for flower planting, mulching, weeding and trash pick-up throughout the downtown.

Volunteers are asked to bring their own work gloves, trowels, rakes, brooms, shovels and weed-pullers. Participants should meet at the parking lot of MainSource Bank, 100 E. Spring St., anytime during event hours to sign in and pick up task assignments.

MainSource Bank will provide refreshments. Horseshoe Foundation of Floyd County is proving the funding for flowers, potting soil and plants. Ecotech is supplying the trash cans and disposal of materials which will be cleaned up.
