Church hosting prayer breakfast

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, is hosting its annual Spring Prayer Breakfast for those who’ve lost a loved one from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 6 in the church’s basement/Wagner Hall.

The featured speaker is Gayle Schrank, who is pastoral associate at St. Mary Navilleton Church serving in a variety of ministries including retreat work. Her talk is titled “Reflections of Grace.” This event is free. RSVP to Tom Yost at 812-945-2374 by today.



Business hosting thank-you event

Jacobi Sales Inc. in Sellersburg is holding a customer appreciation day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 6 at 500 Hamburg Way.

The annual event is held to thank customers for their support. Breakfast and lunch will be served and guests can take advantage of special, one-day-only discounts on most equipment and parts. Enjoy live entertainment, door prize drawings and the grand prize drawing for a new Cub Cadet lawn tractor.

The customer appreciation event will take place rain or shine and all are invited to attend. For more information, call 812-246-6304.


Tea Party to meet

Clark County Tea Party Patriots will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 4, at Silver Creek Middle School, 495 N. Indiana Ave., Sellersburg. The event is free and open to the public.


Senior group hosting meeting

A business and lunch meeting of Charlestown Senior Citizen Inc. will be held at 11:30 a.m. at the Arts and Enrichment Center, 999 Water St., Charlestown.

Chicken and drinks will be provided and attendees are asked to bring a side dish, salad or dessert.

The speaker will be Amanda Haag, patient care coordinator from Air Care Home Medical Inc. She will talk on a variety of subjects, including new Medicare regulations for medical supplies and sleep apnea.


K of C hosting chicken dinner

The Knights of Columbus, 225 E. Market St., Jeffersonville, will sponsor an all-you-can-eat chicken dinner from 6 to 8 p.m., April 12, at the K of C. Hall.

The menu will be chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese, potatoes and gravy, slaw, drink and dessert for $8.

A large portion of the proceeds will be given to charity.
