Jeffersonville and Louisville police departments combined on a drug investigation that netted more than $66,000 in cash, 20 pounds of spice and four pounds of marijuana, according to press release from JPD Detective Todd Hollis.
On Wednesday the Jeffersonville Police Drug Investigation Unit executed a search warrant on a home along Crestview Court in Jeffersonville. The search warrant was part of a lengthy drug investigation involving possession and distribution of synthetic cannabinoids, commonly called spice. Also seized were approximately 10,000 Candyman plastic capsules used to package and sell spice, a money counter and three vehicles.
During the execution of the search warrant in Jeffersonville, Louisville Metro Police Department and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office searched a house along Southwestern Parkway in Louisville, according to the release.
The total street value of the spice and marijuana seized at both locations is more than $100,000. A suspect was located and identified as part of the investigation, but his name was not released. The investigation is ongoing.
