Sept. 28, 2000

• David Camm’s wife and children, Kim, 36, Brad, 7, and Jill, 5 are found shot to death in the garage of the family’s Georgetown home.

Oct. 1, 2000

• David Camm is arrested by Indiana State Police — the agency he formerly worked for as a trooper — for the triple murder of his family.

Jan. 14, 2002

• David Camm’s first trial begins in Floyd County with a jury brought in from Johnson County.

March 17, 2002

• Camm is found guilty of the murders and sentenced to 195 years in prison the following month.

August 2004

• The Indiana Court of Appeals overturns the conviction, citing the trial judge’s decision to allow testimony of a dozen women who claimed they had affairs with Camm or had been propositioned by him, which unfairly biased the jury.

November 2004

• Floyd County Prosecutor Keith Henderson refiles charges against Camm.

February 2005

• Charles Boney is identified as a suspect in the murders.

March 5, 2005

• Boney arrested and charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the crime.

September 2005

• Investigators search for days for the murder weapon, but it is never found.

Jan. 26, 2006

• Boney is found guilty of murdering the Camm family as well as conspiracy to commit murder. The next month, he is sentenced to 225 years in prison.

Feb. 13, 2006

• A directed verdict was issued by Judge Robert Aylsworth, which eliminated the conspiracy charge against Camm in his second trial.

March 3, 2006

• Camm is again found guilty in a Warrick County court of the murder of his family. He was sentenced to life in prison without parole later in the month. The trail was moved to the county near Evansville because of media coverage.

June 2009

• The Indiana Supreme Court reverses Camm’s second conviction. The court ruled that Henderson’s closing argument mentions that Camm had molested Jill unfairly biased the trial jury because there was no evidence connecting Camm to the genital injuries found on Jill.
