No newspaper printed Monday
The News and Tribune will not publish a print edition Monday in observance of Veterans Day. The newspaper will resume print publication Tuesday, Nov. 12.
The newspaper’s Jeffersonville and New Albany offices will be open Monday.

IUS hosting open house Saturday
Indiana University Southeast will host an open house from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 9, in the Hoosier Room at University Center North on campus.
Learn everything you need to know about becoming a student at IUS from admissions and financial aid to housing and graduate programs. Admissions representatives will be on hand to answer questions from prospective and recently admitted students. Tours, offered every half hour, will guide guests across campus, and include a glimpse into our on-campus housing.

Women’s gun club to meet
The Dead Eye Daisies, a women’s gun club established in 2010, invites ladies of all ages to the group’s monthly meeting from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, at Hi-Tek Firearms and Training, 123 Indiana Ave., Sellersburg.

Tell tales of kindness at libraries
During the months of November and December, both locations of the Jeffersonville Township Public Library will be collecting stories of random acts of kindness.
At each location, large sheets of paper will be hanging for people to write down or draw pictures of their experiences to share with others.
