CLARK COUNTY — BRIDGE PROJECT JOB FAIR

In addition to the open house being held this week, bridges project planners are also hosting a job fair.

The Indiana Department of Transportation, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the contractor teams for the Ohio River Bridges Project are teaming up with the Indiana National Guard, WorkOne, Indiana Department of Veterans Affairs and Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve to sponsor a job fair for military veterans, National Guard or Reserve members and their families, according to a press release.

The job fair will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, at the National Guard Armory, 2909 Grant Line Road, in New Albany. As many as 50 vendors are expected to attend, including the state transportation agencies and their contracting teams, along with a number of their contractors and sub-contractors, to provide information about job opportunities.

Although the job fair will focus on military personnel and veterans, the general public is also invited, said Elizabeth Ransom, with Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, in the release.
