NEWS AND TRIBUNE BRIEFS — For May 2

(Continued)

This effort is part of a larger effort to give away 1,000 tomato plants in the Floyd County area to educate people on how to eat healthy as part of the Coalition's ‘5 A Day’ Campaign.

Tomato plant recipients will be given educational handouts with tips on how to care for the plant from a local master gardener along with several easy, budget-friendly recipes. Those who receive plants can visit the initiative’s Facebook page at facebook.com/1000TomatoPlantProject to post photos of their plants, recipes and progress.
