Lane closures for bridge work continue tonight

— Overnight lane closures on Interstate 65 will continue for the third night in a row tonight.

According to an Ohio River Bridges Project press release, crews are finishing milling and paving work on I-65 south and I-65 north. As a result, the left lane of I-65 south from the Kennedy Bridge to Muhammad Ali Boulevard is scheduled to close around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, and will open hours later when the milling and paving work are complete.

Work planned for Wednesday has subsequently been moved back a day. The left lane of the ramp from I-64 west to I-65 south is scheduled to close again around 9 p.m. Thursday and will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday. The right lane of I-65 south at the Jefferson Street exit ramp and the left lane of the exit ramp are scheduled to close around 9 p.m. Thursday and will reopen by 5 a.m. Friday.
