JEFFERSONVILLE

Historian to discuss latest book

Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light will be hosting author and historian James B. Hunt as he discusses his latest book, “Restless Fires: Young John Muir’s Thousand-Mile Walk to the Gulf in 1867–68.”

The event will begin at 7 p.m. April 28 at First Presbyterian Church, 222 Walnut St., Jeffersonville.

Hunt’s book chronicles John Muir’s 1,000-mile walk from Jeffersonville to the Gulf of Mexico in 1867-68.

Muir is best known as the co-founder of the Sierra Club and as the leading activist to preserve some of our country’s most scenic wilderness areas, including Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, according to a press release.

The event is free and open to the public. Light snacks will be served. For more information about Kentucky Interfaith Power and Light visit kentuckyipl.org, email info@kentuckyipl.org or call 502-210-8920.
