Business raising money for nonprofit

On Wednesday, April 9, Valvoline Instant Oil Change is celebrating the opening of five new Louisville-area service centers by raising money for Opening Gates, Jeffersonville, a nonprofit horse therapy group.

The fundraiser is in honor of a local third grader, Ethan Vaughn, Charlestown, who is using horse therapy to overcome behavior issues associated with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and excel in school.

Meet Ethan and his therapy horse, Bear, as they demonstrate the horse therapy tasks that help children thrive. Ethan and Bear will be at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change Center, 2514 Allison Lane, Jeffersonville, from 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday.
