The Bagshaws had two biological children together, who were inside Bagshaw’s apartment when the incident occurred inside Kelly Bagshaw’s Toyota Camry.
The defense has made the case that Bagshaw was attempting to mend the relationship, but Kelly Bagshaw refused to reciprocate.
Kelly Bagshaw was at the apartment complex to pick up the children. Police say after Kelly Bagshaw arrived at the home, Dale Bagshaw used his cell phone to make attempts to get her to come up to his apartment.

A fight had ensued inside the vehicle, ending with the fatal stabbing. The murder weapon has been described as a folding knife labeled with the word, assassin.
