Tea Party meeting tonight
The Clark County Tea Party invites the public to the group’s next meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 24, at Silver Creek Middle School, 495 N. Indiana Ave., Sellersburg.

Last weekend to skate
The Jeffersonville Ice Rink will close for the season after skating hours on Sunday, Jan. 27.
The rink will be open Friday and Saturday from noon to 10 p.m. and on Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
The cost of admission is $8 per person, $6 per person for groups of 10 or more. There is a $2 discount if you bring your own skates.
School open house is Sunday
Sacred Heart School, 1842 E. Eight St., Jeffersonville, will sponsor an open house from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Jan. 27 at the school.
The faith-filled school provides classes preschool through eighth grade with all-day kindergarten. Daycare and before- and after-school care is also provided.
Seminar will address life’s challenges
The Catholic Community of Jeffersonville, St. Augustine and Sacred Heart Parishes Health Ministry Team is offering a free seminar on life’s challenges from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 29 at St. Augustine Church, 315 E. Chestnut Street, Jeffersonville.
Unexpected Life-Changing Events and End-of-Life Care: A Spiritual, Medical and Legal Perspective will begin with brief introductory remarks followed by an opportunity to ask questions from a physician, attorney or clergy. Some of the topics include Advanced Directives, Organ and Tissue donation, Patient Rights, and Artificial Nutrition and Hydration.

Children’s flu clinic is Friday
The Floyd County Health Department will be offering a children’s flu clinic from 4 to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 25 at its office located at 1917 Bono Road in New Albany. No appointment is necessary.
This clinic is for children ages 6 months through 18 years who qualify for VFC vaccine. To be qualified for VFC vaccine they must:
• Be enrolled in any form of Medicaid;
• Do not have health insurance;
• Be American Indian or Alaskan native;
• Have health insurance that does not pay for vaccines.

Bicentennial Gala set for Saturday
New Albany's Bicentennial Commission has scheduled its Bicentennial Gala, 6 to 11 p.m., Jan. 26, at The Grand, 138 East Market Street, New Albany. The evening will start with cocktails and hors d'oeuvres at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Live music and dancing will follow from 8-11 p.m..

Revival starts on Sunday
Hour of Power Church, 108 W. Main St. in New Albany, will sponsor a winter revival at 7 p.m. nightly, Jan. 27 through Feb. 1. A morning service on Jan. 27 will begin at 11 a.m.

The Music Department at Indiana University Southeast will present the Ceruti Chamber Players, 3 p.m., Jan. 27, at the Richard K. Stem Concert Hall of the Paul W. Ogle Cultural and Community Center on the IU Southeast campus, 4201 Grant Line Road in New Albany. Admission is free.
Women’s Fellowship Night is Friday
Communitywide Women’s Fellowship Night, sponsored by Covenant Life Church, Jeffersonville, will begin at 7 p.m., Jan. 25, at the Holiday Inn Lakeview, 505 Marriott Dr., Clarksville.

The Clarksville Branch of the Jeffersonville Township Public Library, 1312 Eastern Blvd., Clarksville, will sponsor a book swap, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Feb. 2, at the library.
Bring in the books you would like to exchange and trade them for books that others have brought in.
