Riverside Drive residents want input on replacement trees

Croce also asked to be involved in the process, or be on a committee, that chooses where and what types of trees are replanted.

Planning and Zoning Director Shane Corbin agreed to have those discussions with the residents about the trees that are to be replaced.

Approval of street closures were granted by the board of public works in order to move a home being displaced by the east-end bridge, which is part of the Ohio River Bridges Project.

Dan Cristiani Excavating, Inc. is the contractor that is moving the home from Shadowbrook Lane to its new location off Timberlake Court in the Crystal Springs subdivisions.

According to a map of the proposed path for the move, the house will travel from Shadowbrook Lane, along Cricklecreek Lane, onto Brookhollow, right onto Boulder Court, left onto Wood Creek Way, left onto Boulder Ridge Drive and into the Crystal Springs subdivision through a field to its final location on Timberlake Court.

Chris Jackson, with Dan Cristiani Excavating said the relocation will take about an hour-and-a-half to complete and some mailboxes will need to be temporarily removed during the move. The mailboxes removed will be replaced.

The move will take place from 9:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, May 23.
