Walk ‘n’ roll to raise funds
The Moving Forward Limb Loss Support Group will hold a Walk and Roll fundraiser at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Sam Peden Community Park, New Albany.
Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. Funds raised by the event will be used to make care packages for amputees in the community.
The course is approximately one mile long and is wheelchair accessible. A pitch-in picnic will follow the walk.
Registration fee is $10 for adults 14 and over. Children under 14 can walk free with an adult. For more information, call 812-620-3694.
FMH uniform sale Oct. 23
Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services Auxiliary will host a Cardinal Uniform sale from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Oct. 23 in classroom three and four in the Paris Education Center of the hospital, 1850 State St.
The sale will be open to the public as well as hospital employees and associates. There will be an abundance of items such as uniforms, scrubs, Nursemate shoes, stethoscopes, socks, support hose and blood pressure cuffs.
There will also be plenty of clearance items and a large selection of value-priced scrubs. A percentage of all the sales will go toward the many hospital projects of the auxiliary. For further information, call 812-948-6734.
Highway to Health ride set
Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services Foundation will host its fourth annual Highway To Health motorcycle ride on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Registration and breakfast will begin at 10 a.m. at the Floyd Memorial Cancer Center, 2210 Green Valley Road, New Albany. The 100-mile ride will stop at Floyd Memorial sites in Corydon, Salem and Charlestown. The ride departs at 11 a.m. and the cost is $20 for one rider or $30 for rider plus passenger.
