Ambulance service transition under way in Clark County

Due to Rural Metro Ambulance cancelling their contract with Clark County, Yellow Ambulance and New Chapel EMS are currently taking over coverage of areas in the county, according to a press release issued by Dr. Kevin Burke with the Clark County Health Department.

Effective the week of April 21, Yellow Ambulance became the primary provider of ambulance services to Sellersburg and Borden.

Effective this week, Yellow Ambulance took over Henryville coverage, while New Chapel became the primary provider to Charlestown and New Washington, the latter of which is also served by the New Washington Volunteer Fire Department.

Beginning May 5, Yellow Ambulance will cover Clarksville, according to the press release.
