Bush for sheriff golf scramble June 7


Steve Bush, a Republican candidate for sheriff in 2014, will host a golf scramble at 8 a.m. on Friday, June 7, as a campaign fundraiser, at Valley View Golf Course.

Prizes and games Include: Top three teams; longest drive; straightest drive; closest to the pin; putting contest and

punt, pass & kick.

The cost is $400 for a team of four or $100 for an individual. Hole sponsors are $125 per sign.

Library hosting adult reading program


 The Charlestown Clark County Public Library is pleased to host the Adult Summer Reading Program from May 13 through July 31 for all adult library cardholders.

  Join today at your nearest branch or visitwww.clarkco.lib.in.us to register and log your books online. Each book read will equal 200 minutes and will put you in the running to receive tote bags, books, gift cards, and even a chance to win a one-night stay at the Old Bridge Inn Bed and Breakfast in Jeffersonville.

CLARK COUNTY

Museum’s annual meeting sent


The Clark County Museum annual meeting will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Preservation Station, 100 Preservation Alley, Jeffersonville.

“Every Object Has a Story” will be the program. Artifacts from the collection will be on display and each one has a history to be explored. Guests are invited to bring an item and talk about their own artifacts.

Presentation of the Stayton Awards will take place and light refreshments will be served.
