NEW ALBANY

IUS job fair set for Thursday

Indiana University Southeast will host a job fair from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the Hoosier Room located in University Center North.

Job seekers should dress professionally and bring several copies of their résumé.

IUS is located at 4201 Grant Line Road, New Albany.

Youth group holding fundraiser

The youth of St. Marks United Church of Christ have secured more than 25 crafters and vendors to offer their wares to the public in the church’s first vendor/craft fair from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 30, at 222 E. Spring St., New Albany.

The “Spring Has Sprung” Fair will have booths selling handbags, jewelry, kitchen wares, wreaths, baked goods, books, bows, accessories, candles, body scrubs and more. The public is invited to peruse the items and also enjoy lunch, sold by the youth themselves. Attendees can also take advantage of childcare for a low per/child price while shopping. The entire event is a fundraiser for the youth to participate in various summer activities.

HENRYVILLE

Spring Swing event scheduled

The Henryville Golden Band’s annual Spring Swing Fundraiser will be held Saturday, April 5.

The event starts at noon with an auction beginning at 4:30. Hot plate meals will be available. Meals consist of chicken and dumplings or pork barbecue with two sides, drink and dessert for $6. Hot dog meals are available for $3.

An egg hunt begins at 11:45 a.m. with carnival games, bouncy houses, door prizes, and raffles beginning at noon inside the Henryville High School gyms. Performances by the music students. Numerous big ticket auction items including Disney World Hopper passes, different Major League Baseball tickets, restaurant gift cards, gift baskets, signed memorabilia and more. CLARK COUNTY

Make an Easter wreath

The Charlestown-Clark County Public Library will sponsor an Easter Wreath Craft program from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 3, at Borden Library, 117 Main St., Borden and from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m., Monday, April 7, at Charlestown Library, 51 Clark Road, Charlestown.

For this craft, each person must bring one foam wreath ring, 10 inches in diameter, and one skein of green fun-fur. All other materials will be provided.

CLARKSVILLE

Fiber Festival dates set

The Indiana Fiber and Music Festival, a free two-day event celebrating the fiber arts, both traditional and new and featuring some of the regions best musicians will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 26 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 27 at the Tri-County Shrine Club, 701 Potters Lane, Clarksville.
