Christmas concert planned
“The Voices of Bethel” of Bethel A.M.E. Church, 200 West Park Place, Jeffersonville, will host a Christmas Concert titled “Celebrating the Reason for the Season” at 3 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at the church.
Dine, shop with St. Nick
Sacred Heart School will be hosting a Brunch with St. Nick from noon to 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 8, in Walpole Hall, 1842 East Eighth St., Jeffersonville.
Chris Cakes will be flipping all-you-can-eat pancakes between noon and 2 p.m. Meals for adults are $7 each, children 3 to 10 are $5 each and children 2 and under are free.
The Christmas bazaar will be open from noon to 4 p.m. and will feature local vendors and crafts people who will offer their various items for sale, including: Fabulous Creations 4 U Accessories, Scentsy, Thirty-One, Diva Bands, Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Rhea Lana, Usbourne Books, and other local vendors as well as homemade arts and baked goods.
Santa Claus will be on hand to have his picture taken with the children and there will be Christmas crafts and fun children’s games to enjoy.
‘Peace Light’ coming to church
Trinity United Methodist Church, 2796 Charlestown Road, New Albany, is having a Distribution of Peace Light of Bethlehem Dedication Service at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6.
The flame is being transported all the way from the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem, the place where Christian’s believe Jesus was born, to Trinity UMC in New Albany. Believers of all denominations are invited to bring a lantern and take a flame home to their family.
The Peace Light will be available at all services and programs at Trinity United Methodist Church through Jan. 5.

Park Christian cookie walk
Park Christian Church, 2231 Green Valley Road, New Albany, will hold its fifth annual cookie walk from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7.
Participants will be given a plastic glove and a cookie box and will then proceed to select desired cookies from thousands of choices. Cookies sell for $8 per pound. Holiday ribbon may be added to the box for a free will donation. These cookies are wonderful gifts for teachers and busy hostesses.

Revelers and runners to come together Tuesday
