Student struck on Grant Line Road in New Albany

Child suffered only minor injuries in Tuesday incident

NEW ALBANY — A student was struck by a vehicle near Grant Line Elementary School Tuesday morning, according to Bill Briscoe, assistant superintendent for operations for the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corp.

The child apparently suffered only minor injuries. Briscoe said the only other information he could release was that the student was released from the hospital later in the day.

No other information was available.
