Simulators demonstrate dangers of texting while driving, driving drunk

GALENA — Students from Floyd Central High School on Wednesday participated in hands-on demonstrations using simulators that exemplified the dangers of texting and driving and drinking and driving. The event was hosted by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department along with State Farm Insurance. The event was held to educate 14 to 18-year-olds on dangerous driving behaviors as part of National Teen Driver Safety Week.
