State Sen. Ron Grooms, R-Jeffersonville, will meet with residents in his district in a series of town hall meetings throughout Clark and Floyd counties.
In November Grooms will host town hall meetings from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, in the Clarksville Town Hall, Council Chamber, 2000 Broadway St., Clarksville.
From 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, he will meet with constituents in the auditorium of the New Albany-Floyd County Public Library, 180 W. Spring St., New Albany.
Grooms will also meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, in the Council Chamber at Jeffersonville City Hall, 500 Quartermaster Ct., Jeffersonville.
A meeting has also been planned from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, in Georgetown, but a location has yet to be determined.
The town halls will be an opportunity for residents to give feedback about community and state issues. Additionally, Grooms will offer a preview of the upcoming 2014 legislative session, as well as hear suggestions for new laws, according to a press release.
