IU’s Crean will highlight Raising the Bar event June 21

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — The GCCS Educational Foundation will host Coaches Raising the Bar for Kids on June 21. The event will be at 7 p.m. at Kye’s II, 500 Missouri Ave., Jeffersonville. The first part of the event will be a reception presentation with each coach speaking. The second part of the event will be a question/answer session with the coaches.

Coaches Raising the Bar for Kids will feature the following guest speakers:

Tom Crean – Indiana University Men’s Basketball coach, Denny Crum – Former University of Louisville Men’s Basketball coach, Scott Davenport – Bellarmine University Men’s Basketball coach with other special guests.

Tickets are currently on sale. Community members interested in purchasing tickets can do so by contacting Erin Bojorquez at 812-288-4802 ext. 325. Cost per ticket is $30 in advance or $35 at the door (if all tickets are not sold in advance). Only 400 tickets are available for the event.

Proceeds from the event will go directly to support the GCCS Educational Foundation’s ACT Testing Initiative. Supported by the GCCS Educational Foundation, Greater Clark County Schools administers an ACT test to students beginning in the sixth-grade. ACT has developed a series of tests that predicates college success and provides comparison statistics to assist students in course work to improve their chances for the highest ACT score.
