New Albany’s Bicentennial Fashion Show set for Friday

NEW ALBANY — The New Albany Bicentennial Commission will host a Bicentennial Fashion Show at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Calumet Club’s Bliss Ballroom, 1614 E. Spring St., New Albany.

Tickets are $40 each [tables of 10 can be reserved] and the menu includes heavy hors d’oeuvres and cash bar.

Tickets may be purchased by calling the Event Chairman Jim Meeks at 812-944-0358/502-648-2580 or Co-Chair Pat Harrison at 812-944-1111/812-989-4663. A limited number of event sponsorships are available for $600 which includes table signage, promotional materials, and seating for 10.

The master of ceremonies will be 2010 Mrs. Indiana International Remy Branstetter.

Models for this event will be wearing the latest collections from area fashion retailers, including Colokial, David’s Bridal Salon, Dillard’s, Dress & Dwell, Opal Gypsy, Sam Meyers, Star Cleaner, Strandz & Threads and others. Styling and related services will be provided by Gemini Salon and Strandz & Threads. Audio Engineering services will be provided by William Anthony, Richard Kopp provided the graphic designs and Patrick Becka provided IT.

Proceeds from the show will benefit the New Albany Bicentennial Commission. The commission was created to plan and fund activities celebrating the past, present, and future of New Albany throughout the 2013 Bicentennial Year.
