Suspects in fatal stabbing in custody

JEFFERSONVILLE —

Jeffersonville Police confirmed Wednesday afternoon that the suspects sought in the stabbing death of Robert Eader, 55, are in custody.
Police had been searching for James L. Washington, 35, and Dana R. Eisenback, 25, since Monday. The pair were wanted for questioning in the early morning attack against Eader in his apartment on the 300 block of Spring Street early Monday morning.
Police were called by Eader’s next door neighbor after he heard calls for help around 4:30 a.m. When police arrived at the apartment located above The Locker Room screen printing business they saw signs of a “violent assault” and discovered Eader dead from multiple stab wounds.
Clark County Maj. Chuck Adams said Washington had been booked into the Michael L. Becher Adult Correctional Complex and was charged with murder, robbery and two counts of dealing in cocaine. Eisenback, who was still being processed by Jeffersonville Police Wednesday afternoon was charged with assisting a criminal and dealing in cocaine, Adams said.
