ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

• Cordario Collier (Thomas More football, New Albany graduate, Sr.) — top performance: 20 carries for 189 yards, including two touchdown runs of 35 and 18 yards, and eight receptions for 109 yards, including a 52-yard TD reception, in the Saints’ 28-14 victory last Saturday at Thiel; notes: Collier’s 298 total yards against Thiel helped him win the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honor for the second consecutive week. A win Saturday at Washington & Jefferson will give Thomas More (7-0, 5-0 PAC) its second consecutive conference championship.

• Jonathan Akemon (Anderson football, Jr.) — notes: Akemon saw action in the Ravens’ 20-7 home loss to Defiance last Saturday.

• Abby Enteman (IU Southeast volleyball, Jr.) — top performance: No. 5 singles victory (6-0, 6-0) and No. 2 doubles win with partner Lauren Becher (8-0) in a 9-0 home victory over Berea last Saturday.

• Dylan Abrahamson (Hanover men’s soccer, Fr.) — notes: Abrahamson started in the Panthers’ 2-0 win at Defiance last Saturday and their 3-0 home loss to Transylvania last Tuesday.

• Trea Burgess (Indiana football, So.) — notes: Burgess saw action in the Hoosiers’ 29-28 loss last Saturday at Northwestern.

• Dan Coats (Bellarmine men’s cross country, So.) — notes: 78th in the GLVC Championships last Saturday, 28:07.8.

• Chelsea Grover (Western Kentucky women’s soccer, Jr.) — notes: Grover came off the bench and played 27 minutes in the Hilltoppers’ 2-0 home victory last Sunday against North Texas.

• Ariel Martin (Purdue women’s swimming, Jr.) — top performance: four first-place finishes in the Boilermakers’ 181 1/2-116 1/2 victory last Friday at Miami (Ohio) in their season opener. The victories were in the 50-yard freestyle (23.29 seconds), 100 freestyle (51.19), 200 medley relay (1:44.29) and 400 free relay (3:27.57).

• Neal Masterson (Bellarmine men’s cross country, Jr.) — notes: 41st in the GLVC Championships last Saturday, 26:55.43.

• Brad Rissler (Indianapolis men’s swimming, New Albany native, Jr.) — top performance: third in the 200 freestyle in a home quadrangular meet last Friday and Saturday against Ashland, Wayne State and Truman State, 1:49.4; notes: fourth in the 500 freestyle (4:54.24) and sixth in the 200 free relay (1:32.44) in last weekend’s quad meet.

• Felicia Adams (Hanover women’s soccer, Sr.) — notes: two shots and one shot on goal in the Panthers’ 2-0 road win last Saturday at Defiance.

• Stephanie Cave (Indianapolis women’s cross country, Fr.) — top performance: ninth in the GLVC Championships last Saturday, personal-record time of 23:06.99; notes: Cave earned a spot on the all-GLVC squad.

• Kim Condra (Indianapolis women’s cross country, Fr.) — notes: Condra did not compete in the GLVC Championships due to an injury.

• Chris Farley (Thomas More football, Sr.) — notes: Farley started at wide receiver in the Saints’ 28-14 road victory last Saturday against Thiel.

• Emily Knight (IU Southeast volleyball, Fr.) — weekly stats: 35 digs, four assists; top performance: 16 digs in the Grenadiers’ five-set victory last Saturday at Cincinnati Christian.
