INDIANAPOLIS — TURNOVERS DOOM SILVER CREEK IN 71-57 LOSS

Silver Creek came up short against Scottsburg in seventh-place game of the Rumble On The River tournament at Southwestern on Saturday, 71-57. The Dragons (2-8) didn’t help themselves on the offensive end by turning the ball over 28 times in the contest.

“Turnovers killed us,” said Silver Creek coach Scott Schoen. “We had 28 — that is a recipe for defeat. We have got to cut out the turnovers.”

Despite the loss, Dragons’ center Kelsi Scott posted a double-double with a game-high 31 points and 16 rebounds.
