The Red Devils’ Stevie Jones (106) and Tyler Fridley (152) each won by forfeit.

“The kids wrestled really well tonight. They were doing well on the things we emphasized at practice this week, and that is what we are happy about,” Jeff coach Danny Struck said. “Daniel Thompson wrestled really well tonight and won 6-2 over an opponent [New Albany’s Ethan Lee] he had never previously beaten. The kids are improving each time, and we aren’t just saying that.  We are really happy about how the kids are listening, learning, and taking advantages of opportunities life gives them.”

The Bulldogs won three matches. In the 126-pound match, senior Austin Jamison pinned the Red Devils’ Xavier Weekley at the 2:24 mark. New Albany’s Hunter Castleberry prevailed in the 145-pound match with a 17-1 major decision over Freddie Hudson. At 195 pounds, Bulldog senior Nick Lynch beat Aamil Haleem by a 6-4 decision.
