Providence outscores host Hornets 39-15 in second half for 63-37 victory in championship

Smallwood finished with a game-high 19 points to go along with seven rebounds and three assists. Rauck scored 14 and fellow-freshman Bayley Wade finished with nine.

Henryville sophomore Emma Hendricks led all players with 10 rebounds in the Hornets’ first loss of the season.

Providence (4-0) will stay busy next week with it hosts Madison Shawe (1-3) on Tuesday and New Albany on Friday in the Bulldogs’ opener before going to Eastern (2-0) on Saturday.

The 3-1 Hornets host New Washington on Friday in their Southern Athletic Conference opener. It is their only game in the next 12 days.
