Charlestown 000 000 000 002—2

Borden          000 000 000 000—0

    W — Willinger. L — Paige Schindler.

    Charlestown highlights: Logsdon 3-5.

    Borden Highlights: Schindler 22 K, 2 BB; Schindler 4-4.

Borden coach Khrystine Knerr said: “This was a tough loss. We had some errors and left 11 people on base throughout the game. We even had 12 hits. We just didn’t put it all together when we needed to. It’s games like these that are just really frustrating and difficult to even talk about. Paige threw a great game, having 22 strikeouts and 2 walks and we couldn’t get the runs in when we should have. We learned some weaknesses though and are going to have to work hard to come back from it, but I know we will and that our girls are more than capable. Charlestown’s defense was solid tonight and they made plays and took advantage of opportunities when they needed to.”

Next: Borden hosts Clarksville, Monday; Charlestown hosts Clarksville, today.
