DISTRICT 5 TOURNAMENT: All-Star action begins

Pool play starts on Monday in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE — District 5 All-Star Tournament pool play started on Monday at Clarksville Little League Park. Nine games were played in six divisions, including the 9-10 softball division contest between Charlestown and Clarksville.

Several scores were not reported to the News and Tribune sports department on Monday night.

Coaches from each of the District 5 All-Star teams are asked to call in their results to the News and Tribune on the nights their teams play.

Coaches can report their scores by calling 812-206-2116 or emailing to sports@newsandtribune.com.

Coaches must provide the following information: age division, final score, score by innings for each team, runs, hits and errors for each team, winning pitcher, losing pitcher, extra-base hits, team highlights (e.g. multihit players, pitchers throws two- or three-hit shutout or strikes out several batters), coach's comments, record in the tournament, next game.
