Notes: Godfrey led off the game with a double to center field. He later scored the Braves’ first run by coming home on a Jordan Edgerton sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning. Godfrey collected his second hit of the contest with a line-drive single to left with none out. But he was left stranded at third base after Danville’s Mike Dodig struck out swinging and Tanner Murphy flew out to right. In the top of the sixth, Godfrey smacked a single to left for his third knock. But he got stranded at second when Edgerton struck out for the third out. With one out in the top of the eighth, Godfrey got hit by a pitch to put runners at first and second. Then with two out, Godfrey scored on a two-run base hit by Tanner Krietemeier to give the Braves a 4-3 lead. But Burlington scored two runs in the bottom half to go up 5-4. With two outs and a runner at first, Godfrey ended the game with a fielder’s choice as teammate Justin Black got forced out at second on Godfrey’s grounder to shortstop.

Season: 21-for-54 (.389 batting average), 32 total bases, 21 hits, 16 runs scored, 9 doubles, 9 RBIs, 3 stolen bases, 1 triple, 1.006 OPS, .593 SLG, .414 OBP. Godfrey currently ranks first in the Appalachian League in runs scored and doubles and is second in hits. Also, he is fourth in batting average, total bases and slugging percentage and fifth in OPS.

Team record: 11-5 (two-game lead over the Pulaski Mariners in AL East).
