• Providence third at BNL:
After a rough start on the front nine holes at the Bedford North Lawrence Invitational at Otis Park on Saturday, Providence recovered for a third-place finish.

“We had a terrible first nine, but we can back with a 36, two 37s and a 38 on the back nine,” Providence coach Ken Allender said.

Kevin Crone led the Pioneers with a 77, two strokes ahead of teammate Mitchell Allender. Cory Cahalan shot an 81 and Robert Waiz finished the course in 82 strokes.

NEXT: Providence hosts Silver Creek, Christian Academy and Lanesville, today.
