Baker, McCoy make Top 60 workout

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Jeffersonville’s Darryl Baker and Borden’s Jalen McCoy were invited to the prestigious Hoosier Basketball Magazine Top 60 workout as two of the state’s top 60 seniors.

McCoy and Baker were chosen out of a potential 1,600 seniors statewide. The workout will be held on April 7 at Marian University in Indianapolis.

Statistical evaluation, game observation and statewide research were conducted throughout the season and the 2013 state tournament to determine the top 60 seniors. The 23rd-annual event can help determine the Indiana All-Star team.

McCoy, who scored 17 points to help the Braves to a 55-50 Class A state championship victory over Triton, was one of nine players to play in Saturday’s state finals.

Baker, who recently signed to play at Lamar, averaged 23.4 points while helping the Red Devils to sectional and regional crowns.

Mount Vernon-Fortville coach Steve Lynch will direct the event.
