• Chris Beam (IU South Bend men’s basketball, Borden graduate, Jr.) — recent stats: 15 points per game, 10-of-18 field goals, 1-of-4 3-pointers, 9-of-12 free throws, seven rebounds, four assists; top performance: team-high 17 points, shooting 4-of-6 from the floor, 1-of-1 from 3-point range and 8-of-10 from the stripe, and three rebounds in the Titans’ 71-54 loss to host Columbia (Mo.) in the Cougars vs. Cancer Classic last Saturday; team records: 10-6 overall, 7-3 Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Division I.

• Cody Banet (IU East men’s basketball, Jr.) — notes: five points and three rebounds in the Red Wolves’ 87-77 home win over Michigan-Dearborn on Dec. 22; team records: 10-4 overall, 1-0 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

• Brigid Morrissey (Furman women’s basketball, Jr.) — recent stats: two points per game, 2-of-7 field goals, 0-of-3 3-pointers, nine assists, four rebounds, four steals; notes: team-high five assists, four points, three rebounds and three steals in the Paladins’ 85-80 overtime victory last Saturday at South Carolina-Upstate; team records: 4-7 overall, 0-2 Southern Conference.

• Jordan Thompson (IU Southeast men’s basketball, Fr.) — recent stats: 2.7 points per game, 4-of-9 field goals, 0-of-3 free throws, 14 rebounds, three assists, two blocks; notes: eight rebounds, six points, game-high two blocks and two assists in the IU Southeast’s 118-65 home victory over Miami (Ohio)-Middletown on Wednesday; team records: 12-3 overall, 2-0 KIAC.

JEFFERSONVILLE

• Kegan Clark (IU Southeast men’s basketball, Jr.) — recent stats: 10.3 points per game, 10-of-25 field goals, 0-of-2 3-pointers, 11-of-15 free throws, nine rebounds, eight assists, five steals; top performance: 13 points, shooting 4-of-12 from the floor and 5-of-8 from the line, four rebounds, four assists and two steals in the Grenadiers’ 108-75 victory last Saturday at Point Park; team records: 12-3 overall, 2-0 KIAC.

• Jalynn McClain (Western Kentucky women’s basketball, Fr.) — recent stats: 11 points per game, 7-of-17 field goals, 8-of-13 free throws, 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks; top performance: 13 points, shooting 5-of-10 from the field and 3-of-4 from the line, six rebounds, game-high two steals and two assists in the Hilltoppers’ 71-57 victory over Florida A&M in the Wright State Invitational championship game on Dec. 21; team records: 11-2 overall, 4-0 Sun Belt Conference.

• Lakin Roland (Dartmouth women’s basketball, Fr.) — notes: game- and career-high nine rebounds in the Big Green’s 60-37 home loss to Villanova in the consolation game of the Blue Sky Classic last Sunday; team record: 1-11.
