AUTO RACING: Kimmel to drive for Win-Tron Racing next year

Clarksville native won 10th ARCA title in 2013

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Clarksville native and 10-time ARCA Racing Series champion Frank Kimmel announced on Wednesday that he will drive for Win-Tron Racing in the 2014 ARCA season. Kimmel has spent the last two seasons at ThorSport Racing in Sandusky, Ohio.

In 2013, Kimmel captured his 10th ARCA series championship with ThorSport. He also became the all-time winningest driver in ARCA history when he claimed the checkered flag in the ARCA season finale at Kansas Speedway on Oct. 4.

Even though Kimmel will be with a new team, he will still drive a Toyota, have Ansell and Menards as his primary sponsors and keep the No. 44 on his car.

“I appreciate the support Ansell and Menards have given me, and I’ll be forever indebted to [ThorSport Racing owner] Duke Thorson and all the guys at ThorSport for helping me achieve the goals we set for ourselves,” Kimmel said. “At the same time, I can’t wait to get behind the wheel of those Toyotas at Win-Tron Racing. I feel like we have a shot to win every week in 2014.”

Win-Tron Racing is located in Mooresville, N.C., and has competed in ARCA, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and the NASCAR K&N Pro East Series.
