• Generals lose despite hitting four homers: Despite all four of Clarksville’s hits being solo homers, the Generals suffered a 6-4 loss at Brownstown on Monday. Smacking the solo shots were Nick Jones, Scott Adams, Wyatt Kissel and Brandon Hardin.

Kissel was the losing pitcher. He went the distance, giving up six runs (two earned) on four hits with five strikeouts and a walk.

NEXT: Clarksville (4-14, 0-5 Mid-Southern Conference) vs. Jeff at Clarksville Little League Park, today.

BOYS’ GOLF

• Pioneers prevail in tri-meet: Providence had three players shoot in the 30s to win a triangular meet on Monday at Covered Bridge Golf Club against Lanesville and Silver Creek.

Pioneer senior Cory Cahalan earned medalist honors with a 37. Teammates Kevin Crone and Max Hupp each shot a 38, and Providence’s Mitchell Allender fired a 42.

Cody Zimmerman led the Dragons with a 47. Rounding out the scoring for Silver Creek were Sam Garr with a 50, Nick Tinsley with a 51 and Ryan Baker with a 53.
