• Laura Der (Marshall volleyball, Floyd Central graduate, Jr.) — weekly stats: 45 kills, 32 digs, six aces, three blocks; top performance: match-high 26 kills, 16 digs, match-high four aces and two blocks in the Thundering Herd’s 3-2 home loss to UAB last Friday; team records: 16-8 overall, 6-4 Conference USA.

CHRISTIAN ACADEMY

• Drew Mattingly (Huntington men’s soccer, Jr.) — notes: five saves in the Foresters’ 2-0 home victory last Saturday against St. Francis; Mattingly currently leads the Crossroads League with 90 saves and ranks fifth in the conference in goals against average at 1.16; team records: 8-8-2 overall, 3-6 Crossroads League.

• Garrett Blackman (Southern Indiana men’s cross country, Jr.) — notes: 30th at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships last Saturday in Springfield, Mo., 26:10.3; the Screaming Eagles captured the conference title with 34 points.

• Will Cox (Southern Indiana men’s cross country, Jr.) — top performance: 15th at the GLVC Championships last Saturday in Springfield, Mo., 25:35.4; notes: Cox made the all-GLVC team at the conference championships; the Screaming Eagles captured the conference title with 34 points.

• Haley Dresner (Xavier women’s swimming, Fr.) — top performance: second in the 400-yard freestyle relay in the Musketeers’ 188 1/2-96 1/2 loss last Friday at Cincinnati; notes: other results from Cincinnati meet — third in the 200 breaststroke, 2:32.34; fourth in the 400 medley relay, 4:04.58; fifth in the 100 breaststroke, 1:10; 165 1/2-87 1/2 loss at Miami (Ohio) last Saturday — fifth in the 100 breaststroke, 1:09.95; fifth in the 200 breaststroke, 2:34.02.
