Falcone dishes out 30 assists in Christian Academy win

> SOUTHERN INDIANA — Junior Krista Boesing smacked 13 kills to lead the Christian Academy volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-17, 25-19 home victory over North Harrison on Monday. Boesing also had six digs and four blocks.

Warriors’ setter Alex Falcone distributed 30 assists. The sophomore also had four kills, four digs and three service aces.

Christian Academy senior Emily Haworth registered nine kills and two aces.

Also for the Warriors, Sierra Rayzor had six blocks, four kills and two aces, Alex Lyons had five digs and Clara Koch made four digs.

Christian Academy coach Walter Pauly lauded the performance of two of his newcomers.

“We played well as a team tonight with contributions from many players, including freshmen Mackenzie Haworth and Abby Falcone,” Pauly said.

Pauly also liked what he saw from Alex Falcone and Koch.

“Alex Falcone did a good job distributing the ball and getting a lot of hitters involved, and she played great defense,” Pauly said. “Clara Koch also had a strong defensive game. North Harrison was scrappy and dug a lot of balls.”
