Floyd police warn about woman offering to clean carpet

The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department is warning about a possible scam artist reported in the 4400 block of St. Mary’s Road in Floyds Knobs.

A resident said a woman stopped at her house and offered to clean carpet. The homeowner said she was not interested, but the woman asked to use her restroom. The homeowner said she saw the woman looking through her medicine cabinet.

The suspect is described as a white female with blonde hair and wearing a cap. Anyone seeing a woman matching that description and going door-to-door should called the police department at 812-948-5400.
