Drive-by shooting reported

No injuries reported at Village Drive apartments, police have no suspects

The New Albany Police Department is investigating a drive-by shooting incident that occurred about 3:30 a.m. Wednesday morning in the Village Drive apartment complex.

Witnesses told police they were upstairs and heard loud blasts, and they found ground floor windows shattered in the east end apartment complex.

There were two adults and a 6-month-old infant in the apartment at the time of the shooting. No injuries were reported.

Police say that residents at the apartment were unable to give any possible motive for the shooting.

The shots were believed to be fired from a shotgun.
