Funeral services for Helen R. Trinkle Parsons, 101, of New Albany, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at Floyds Knobs Christian Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany. 

 She was born in Rising, Ill., to the late George Edward and Lillie Belle Hartley Trinkle. She was a member of Floyds Knobs Christian Church and was retired from the Dietary Department at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.

Survivors include her sons, James Parsons and his wife, Wilma, of New Albany, and Paul Parsons, of Floyd Knobs; daughter, Charlotte Poff and her husband, Jim, of New Albany; seven grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Parsons in 1989; her granddaughter, Ellen Parsons; and great-great grandson, Michael Parsons.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Seabrook, Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, Market Street Chapel, New Albany, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, at the church.

 The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of Lincoln Hills for their kindness and care during her time there.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Floyds Knobs Christian Church, 3838 Paoli Pike, Floyds Knobs, or Rauch Inc.
