Silas ‘Si’ Lee Lockhart, 91; World War II veteran
Funeral services for Silas “Si” Lee Lockhart, 91, of Henryville, will be at 7 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 30, at R.D. Pyke Funeral Service, Henryville, with private interment. He died Saturday, June 2, 2009, at The Woods, located in Scottsburg.
He was born Nov. 10, 1917 in Spring City, Va., son of John Patton Lockhart and Elizabeth Thompson Lockhart. He was a member of Church of God and retired from Conrail Railroad. He was a member of the local UTU and served in the U.S. Marines in World War II
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Joyce Brown Lockhart; three daughters, Linda F. Kegley and husband, Chuck, of Cloverdale, Donna J. Wycoff and husband, Tim, of Underwood and Rhonda Farnsley, of Henryville; a son, Glyn Lockhart and wife, Robin Lockhart, of Scottsburg; a sister, Mary Buchanan, of Ohio; a brother, TC Lockhart, of Florida; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 9 p.m. today.
